After the corona outbreak in a senior citizens' and nursing home in Norderstedt (Segeberg district), a 95-year-old infected resident died. Another had been taken to a clinic, said a spokeswoman for the district administration on Wednesday. The authority had informed about the outbreak in the facility on Monday. Of the total of 76 residents, 60 are currently infected - most of them with no or only mild symptoms.
Norderstedt - Of the around 70 employees of the home, 19 are now verifiably infected with the pathogen, according to the information.
Some of these are not vaccinated.
The cause of the outbreak in the "Hog'n Dor" house was initially unclear.
According to the county government, there is a guess, but no definitive explanation.
No further information should be given during the procedure.
