Two Border Police companies will be mobilized to fight crime in Arab society, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett instructed today (Wednesday).

The Prime Minister's directive comes on the recommendation of the Minister of Internal Security, Amar Bar-Lev, and after a demonstration by residents of the south who called for the return of security to the area.

Two Border Police companies will be mobilized to fight crime in the south of the country and will be removed from the Jerusalem Envelope sector. The Prime Minister's Office added that additional measures will be examined later, in accordance with the assessment of the situation.
