At a crisis summit on the new and controversial departure route at Stuttgart Airport, the parties involved agreed that the aircraft noise commission should only issue a recommendation in the new year.
At the video switch at the invitation of Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) on Wednesday evening, it was agreed that Lufthansa and German air traffic control should first answer open questions at the next meeting of the commission at the beginning of November, a government spokeswoman told the German press on Wednesday evening Agency in Stuttgart.
Stuttgart - Originally, the commission was supposed to vote on the new route on November 2nd and then make a recommendation to the Federal Air Traffic Control Authority.
From the departure route to the south proposed by the airlines Lufthansa and Eurowings, some municipalities would be less exposed to noise, while others would be more.
The mayors of the municipalities on the Fildern were present at the switch, along with local members of the state and Bundestag, transport minister Winfried Hermann (Greens) and representatives of the airlines and German air traffic control.
From the circle of the municipalities the request had come to commission an expert opinion on the total noise pollution from air, car and rail traffic.
A group of experts should now quickly clarify whether such an expert opinion can be drawn up at all.
The country offered to cover a third of the costs.

In future, all affected municipalities are to be more closely involved in the discussions of the commission, said the spokeswoman.
