Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of Hezbollah Sheikh Ali Damoush renewed the resistance's adherence to protecting Lebanon, defending its lands and stability, and preventing internal strife.
In a speech in Sidon, Damouche affirmed that “the resistance has always been strong and is resilient to being drawn into malicious goals, and that the resistance’s capabilities and strength have always been devoted, since its inception, to protecting Lebanon and defending its sovereignty. The dangers have been kept away from him, and today it protects stability and civil peace, prevents internal fighting and keeps the specter of civil war away from Lebanon. It is and will remain a force that deters the enemy, frightens the Zionists, and protects Lebanon and the Lebanese,” noting that everyone in Lebanon must stand up to the Lebanese Forces party and its leader in order to prevent civil war and enhance security and stability in the country.
On the 14th of this month, gunmen from the Lebanese Forces militia attacked peaceful demonstrators in the Tayouneh area, killing seven people and wounding more than sixty others.
