The Landau public prosecutor's office has applied for the resumption of proceedings for an accident drive with two dead and one seriously injured in 2019.
The reason was new evidence, said the justice in the Palatinate city on Wednesday.
Landau - Because of the accident, the then 19-year-old driver was sentenced to six months' probation in two cases, among other things on suspicion of negligent homicide.
The car driven by the man crashed into a tree on a wet road due to excessive speed.
Two passengers were killed and another very seriously injured.

New evidence in the form of multiple video recordings of the convict's earlier journeys would suggest that the man had already demonstrated “risky driving maneuvers” and “the highest possible speeds” before the accident, the judiciary said.
This lets the ride of 2019 appear in a different light and justifies the suspicion of grossly illegal and inconsiderate lawns resulting in death.
The Landau district court declared the application admissible and gave the defense the opportunity to comment, it said.
After that, the court will decide on a possible reopening.
