Members of the Umm al-Fahm City Council gathered tonight (Wednesday) for an emergency meeting following the murders in the city and the rising crime wave in the Arab sector.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the People's Committee and the parents' committee in the city, where it was decided that tomorrow there will be a general strike in the city in protest of the crime in the sector and the incompetence of the government and law enforcement systems.

The strike will include public education systems except for special education, commerce and municipal and public services in the city.
In addition, the imams in the mosques were asked to call for calming the spirits and forgiveness between the rival families in Friday prayers.
As stated, the municipality demands that the police work harder and with increased forces to collect the weapons and illegal weapons.
On Saturday, a protest demonstration will be held by the residents in front of the police station in the city.
