On Thursday night it could get uncomfortable in Saxony-Anhalt: The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of extreme gusts of wind on the Brocken.
From midnight gusts of 120 to 160 kilometers per hour are to be expected, said a spokesman on Wednesday evening.
Even in lower elevations, speeds of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour are expected.
Magdeburg - For Thursday, the DWD warns Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia of gusts of wind at up to 90 kilometers per hour.
They could be even stronger in exposed locations and rainy areas.
Thunderstorms can also be expected here and there.
