The Protestant community is using the site fence for an unusual advertising campaign: Large, colored banners were designed to present community life.

Just in time for Reformation Day on October 31, all banners are hung up.

Fürstenfeldbruck -

The most diverse groups from the Protestant community in the west of Bruck present themselves on a total of 19 banners. The campaign runs under the motto "Made by Gnadenkirche FFB". The neighboring Protestant kindergarten is currently being rebuilt for five million euros and expanded to include a crèche. Ingrid Rau came up with the idea of hanging the banners on the site fences while talking to a friend. "Such construction fences are hideous, you have to do something about it," she says.

The aim is to bring the church to the outside world during the construction work. “The community only works when people help,” says Ulrike Hillebrand. You and Reinhard Fornara are also part of the planning team. The aim of the banners is to introduce the community and its ideas. And people should be made curious and encouraged to come to the church.

The very different groups from community life introduce themselves on the 19 large banners. Each group designed their own banner. On the subject of church music, for example, the church choir and trombone choir can be seen together. The over-60s group, the Evangelical Youth in Fürstenfeldbruck and other committees have also designed their own posters and use the space to introduce themselves. In this way you can find out more about the work that continues behind the site fences. A QR code is shown on every banner, which leads to the new website of the Gnadenkirche. There you can read more about the respective division.

The final banner will be presented on Sunday, October 31st, at 10 a.m.

After the Reformation service, all the banners are hung over a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice.

“The service will not be a normal one.

It is held with a lot of community participation, ”explains Ulrike Hillebrand.

The campaign has been planned and implemented since June.

“It was an intensive collaboration,” says Hillebrand.

There was support from all sides.

“We are happy and grateful that everything went so well.” The result will be soon to be seen.

Until the end of the construction work on the neighboring kindergarten, which is expected to last until summer 2022, the construction fence embellishments can be seen.

Afterwards - also for reasons of sustainability - they should be hung up at events in the Gnadenkirche and reused.
