"Trocadero right"
, in other words the conservative right, the one who did not let go of François Fillon in 2017, to justify the rallying to Emmanuel Macron of another right, reformist and
"modern"
. Five years later, we see the limits of this typology. All those who want to preserve and expand a space between the Head of State and Marine Le Pen have been careful not to occupy the societal field, considering that opinion had rapidly evolved on all of these subjects. The so-called
“conservative”
electorate
has certainly become a minority, but still constitutes a
resistant
“archipelago”
of French sociology. Until the last regional ones, the
“institutional”
right
convinced himself that this current, more allergic to both Macronism and Lepenism than others,
ultimately
had
no choice but to remain faithful to it.
