Yahoo Japan has announced that it has started using artificial intelligence technology to evaluate user comments on online news articles and block inappropriate ones.
The Japanese news agency NHK reported that Yahoo Japan decided to fully use artificial intelligence to evaluate each post and to close the comment function for articles that attract a lot of offensive posts.
In parallel with the work on the new AI settings, Yahoo Japan has begun to warn people trying to comment on news related to the upcoming Japanese House of Representatives elections of the possibility of legal violations if they post false or inappropriate posts.
