This Monday the Inter-American Court of Human Rights issued a ruling in favor of the Colombian journalist Jineth Bedoya Lima against the State of Colombia for the kidnapping and physical and sexual torture that she suffered in May 2000 while conducting an investigation at La Modelo prison.
After surviving the attack, the journalist has had to fight a long battle on the courts of justice, providing her with elements of her own investigation, while she continued to receive threats and was forced to hire bodyguards for her safety.
In Aristegui, Bedoya tells CNN about the lengthy and painful process that he had to carry out to reach this sentence.
