The four remaining Thuringian FDP MPs have to cope with significantly fewer financial resources after losing their parliamentary group status.
The Thuringian state parliament decided on Wednesday with votes from the Left, the SPD, the Greens and the CDU to change the Thuringian Parliament's Law, which regulates subsidies for parliamentary groups.
Erfurt - According to the new rules, the FDP group only receives half of the basic amount of 48,000 euros that parliamentary groups are entitled to on a monthly basis.
In addition, the group receives an opposition bonus, which is ultimately also half the bonus for factions, because it is linked to the basic amount.
