The Frankfurt Book Fair began on Wednesday with long queues at the entrance.
Visitors had to show their electronic ticket, submit their vaccination, test or convalescence certificate and identify themselves with their identity card.
At the City entrance, visitors had to wait around 20 minutes for the first hour after the gates opened.
Frankfurt / Main - On the first two days, the book fair is initially only open to trade visitors.
The number of visitors is capped at 25,000 per day.
The host country this year is Canada.
A total of 2000 publishers and companies from 80 countries are expected.
More than 300 authors will present their books and 1400 events are planned.
The book fair lasts until Sunday (October 24th).
