The revenues of the Syrian Postal Corporation branch in As-Suwayda during the past nine months exceeded 61 million pounds, with an implementation rate of about 139 percent of the plan, which amounted to about 44 million pounds in the same period.
The director of the branch of the Syrian Postal Corporation, Walid Abu Shaheen, said in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the pace of work is going in an acceptable manner and the volume of postal services provided is good, as the number of deposited items reached more than 33 thousand missionaries, withdrew postal transfers 4,683 transfers, completed documents for non-workers, civil and justice records 14,112 documents and boxes The rented postage 61 boxes, while the number of lottery tickets sold reached about 172 thousand tickets.
Abu Shaheen explained that the As-Suwayda Postal Branch is striving hard to secure the implementation of the required services, increase the productivity of the postal offices in the governorate, and invest the available capabilities in an optimal manner, despite the difficulties represented, the most important of which is the shortage of labor and the lack of financial funds allocated in comparison with the high prices of work requirements.
As-Suwayda has 21 post offices distributed throughout the governorate.
