A 14-year-old has had to answer for the murder of a boy before the Heidelberg district court since Wednesday.
The process began as planned, said a spokeswoman for the Heidelberg Regional Court.
Because the defendant is so young, the court excluded the public from the trial.
Heidelberg - The public prosecutor's office accuses him of killing a 13-year-old with several knife stabs in a forest in Sinsheim in February.
According to earlier information, the background to the investigators was jealousy of a girl.
Ten continuation dates are set for the procedure until December.
