The two had the L452R variant virus, and the other patient arrived in Hong Kong from Singapore and had been vaccinated against Fubital. The Centre for Health Protection is investigating 4 newly imported confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia today. So far, the total number of cases in Hong Kong has reached 12,306.

Three of the new cases involved L452R mutant virus infection, and the test result of the remaining one is pending.

The case involved three women and one man, aged between 23 and 43. Three people arrived in Hong Kong from a designated area in Group A (high risk), and the other arrived in Hong Kong from a designated area in Group B (medium risk).

All four were diagnosed during the quarantine period, and three of them were diagnosed at the designated quarantine facility at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center and Silka Tsuen Wan Hotel in Hong Kong.

43-year-old Filipino domestic helper (No. 12308) took flight CX798 from Indonesia on October 16 and arrived in Hong Kong, and had been vaccinated locally with AstraZeneca. 32-year-old Filipino domestic helper (No. 12309) took flight CX906 from the Philippines on October 10th Arriving in Hong Kong, another 23-year-old Filipino domestic helper (No. 12310) arrived in Hong Kong from the Philippines on flight 5J272 on October 16. Both had received two doses of Koxing vaccine in the Philippines.

In another case, a 28-year-old male patient (No. 12311) arrived in Hong Kong from Singapore on the flight SQ882 on October 16. He was diagnosed with symptoms during the quarantine at the Silka Far East Hotel in Tsuen Wan two days later. He had been vaccinated with two doses of remedy in Singapore.
