It was a bit predictable and now it's official.
Newcastle announced today (Wednesday) the termination of their contract with their coach for the past two years, Steve Bruce.
Bruce has stood on the lines of the Magpies since the 2019/20 season but failed to meet the task and return the club to the top of the Premier League, and he also started the season very badly - with only 3 points - below the red line.
#NUFC can confirm that Steve Bruce has left his position as head coach by mutual consent.
The club would like to place on record its gratitude to Steve for his contribution and wishes him well for the future.

"I think this may be my last job," Bruce said after the dismissal.
"It was very, very difficult. To never be really wanted, to feel that people want me to fail and say I will fail, that I am useless, a waste of space, a head of non-tactical cabbage."
Now, the club will strive to sign a coach who will suit their new demands in the era of the big Saudi money - to return to the top of the English team with all their might.
The leading candidate at the moment is Paolo Fonseca - the one who coached Roma before the arrival of Jose Mourinho and also the one who brought Manor Solomon to Shakhtar Donetsk.
