Shortly before the end of the season, the beautiful autumn weather invites you to go on a motorcycle excursion.

In the Walchensee / Kesselberg area, which is popular with bikers, the increased traffic volume resulted in two accidents on Wednesday.

Kochel am See

- As reported by the Kochel am See police station, it was an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver around 11.40 a.m. that led to a collision on the B11 between Urfeld and the village of Walchensee.

Failed overtaking maneuver at Walchensee leads to accident

Shortly before the Kirchelwand tunnel, a 53-year-old Audi driver from Starnberg wanted to overtake two cyclists.

He overlooked the fact that he was just overtaken by a Harley-Davidson driver (42) from Flein in Baden-Württemberg.

The car brushed against the motorcycle next to him.

The man from Starnberg was slightly injured in his right foot, but was then able to stop his motorcycle safely.

The property damage adds up to around 4500 euros.

Motorcyclist (19) too fast: Fall on the Kesselberg

At around 3:10 p.m., a 19-year-old from Markt Indersdorf (Dachau district) crashed his motorcycle on the Kesselberg.

According to the police, he was too fast when driving uphill in a right turn to be able to react in time to an oil trail there.

He fell and slid into the oncoming lane.

His luck: At that moment there was no oncoming traffic.

The 19-year-old was slightly injured.

A Sanka took him to the accident clinic in Murnau.

The damage to his machine is estimated at 1500 euros.

Police registered a number of violations on the Kesselberg

On what was presumably the last day of fine weather for the time being, officers from the traffic police inspection and the motorcycle control group also posted themselves on the Kesselberg.

They registered a number of technical manipulations, worn tires, overtaking violations and misuse of license plates.
