Kempten - In a supermarket, a man threatened a cashier with a gun and then fled with the money.
The perpetrator is on the run.
On Tuesday, shortly before the shop closed at 8 p.m., a previously unknown man placed a pack of cigarette paper on the checkout belt of a supermarket on Oberwanger Strasse in Kempten.
According to the police, the man masked with a scarf pointed a pistol at the cashier when she opened the cash drawer and said, "Get your money, open the cash register."
He then reached into the cash register himself, stole several hundred euros in cash and fled on foot in the direction of Memminger Strasse.
The cashier was not physically injured.
The perpetrator was able to flee
The perpetrator was about 180 cm tall, slim, dressed in dark clothes, pulled a dark scarf and the hood of his jacket as a mask over his face, wore black gloves and a black backpack.
The manhunt initiated immediately by numerous Kemptner police patrols was unsuccessful.
