IG Metall in the southwest has called on the future federal government to invest heavily in climate-friendly industry.
The sustainable restructuring of industry and the fight against climate change should be thought together, said the IG Metall boss for Baden-Württemberg, Roman Zitzelsberger, on Wednesday in Stuttgart.
Stuttgart - There should be no layoffs in the industry, he said.
The union demanded investments totaling 500 billion euros from the federal government for the expansion of future technologies and infrastructure by 2030.
