The number of new corona infections in Saxony has increased slightly again.
The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported a value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week of 116.5 on Wednesday morning.
The day before it was 113.7, last Monday it was 123.3.
In a comparison of the federal states, the Free State ranks third after Thuringia and Bavaria.
Dresden - The RKI gave the nationwide value 80.4.
Seven new deaths were registered nationwide and 1,272 new infections reported within one day.
The region with the highest infection rate is the Erzgebirgskreis (172.6).
At 50.0, the value is lowest in the Vogtland district.
