The first big autumn storm hits Bavaria on Thursday.

But the first official warnings are already in place on Wednesday.

Weather warnings in Bavaria: Storm hits Free State on Thursday

The German Weather Service warns in advance for the entire Free State of gusts of wind *.

Almost completely warning level 2 of a maximum of 4 has already been declared for Thursday.

Only in the Munich area and in the southeast of the state capital - apart from the direct Alpine foothills - currently warning level 1 still applies for Thursday.

But the first foothills of the storm hit the Free State on Wednesday.

Warning level 3 already applies in several areas.

Official weather warnings in Bavaria are sometimes already in effect on Wednesday

On the one hand, this applies to Franconia east of Bayreuth.

Here warnings have been made for gusts of wind of up to 70 kilometers per hour above 600 meters throughout Wednesday.

The same applies to the region around Bad Neustadt an der Saale.

And also in the southeast of the Free State on the border with the Czech Republic, warning level 3 is already in effect east of Cham and Deggendorf. Here, too, there are currently warnings of gusts of wind.
