German police have approached the fraud unit for help in investigating an affair involving millions of euros in fraud by Israeli officials.

This morning (Wednesday) as the investigation progressed to the open phase, investigators from the Central District Fraud Unit detained 15 Israeli suspects for questioning, 11 of whom were released at the end of their interrogation and four were arrested and brought to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court later today.

It is estimated that Germany will ask Israel to extradite the four detainees to it.

According to the suspicion, the same sources set up call centers in Israel and other countries around the world, through which citizens in Germany were persuaded to invest a lot of money in stocks, foreign currencies and commodities, etc. After a while, investors discovered that no transactions were made at all.

During a search of the company's offices in Petah Tikva, which is the focus of the scams in the country, computers, mobile phones, various documents and cash were seized.

In addition, funds were frozen from various accounts in the amount of NIS 4 million.
