An indictment has been filed against Fanny Moyal - the assistant from "Gan Renanim":

The Southern District Attorney's Office

filed the indictment

today (Wednesday) in the Magistrate's Court in Be'er Sheva, for failing to report the actions of kindergarten owner Ruthi Salem - who is accused of abusing and assaulting toddlers.

Salam itself, it will be recalled, was indicted for numerous transgression and assault offenses earlier this month.

According to the new indictment, the defendant (41) worked for seven years in the kindergarten as an assistant and as a caregiver, until 2020. In many cases, she witnessed violence by Ruthie Salem against minors, between the ages of 10 months and 3 years, in "Gan Renanim".

The indictment against the aide states that she did not report Salem's acts of violence and abuse to anyone, and this was revealed as a result of another aide's report to the kindergarten, in November 2020. The indictment states that the defendant Ada, violated her duty to report the acts as soon as possible to the social workers or the police.

Salem herself was indicted with 16 charges, for many offenses of abuse and assault she committed against the kindergarten children for about seven years.

On many occasions she used physical violence against the toddlers, and mentally abused them.

The prosecutor's office asked the court to ban Salem from caring for and supervising the children until the end of the legal proceedings against her.

Shani Taub, a mother of two toddlers in kindergarten, told Israel Today: "I have bad feelings about this indictment. And shout their cry.

"How can you see someone hurting toddlers and not telling anyone? She has had so many opportunities, but apparently her livelihood is more important than the psyche of our children. I know filing an indictment for failing to report kindergarten cases is a precedent, and I'm glad the prosecution is leading it. With us. "

Yossi Hevra, CEO of Justice for Children, headquarters of the fight against early childhood abuse: "Finally, there is a prosecutor's office that takes the issue of abuse and assault in kindergartens one step further, and files an indictment for non-reporting.

Staff women, who are in kindergarten and see the serious acts that the children go through in kindergarten - and do nothing, are as guilty of us as the abuser.

"There have never been so many assistants in Carmel's kindergarten, and no one has taken the initiative and done anything except the assistant who blew it up. I hope the current indictment will lead the women on the kindergarten staff to understand that they are complicit in the offense."
