Great efforts are being made by the General Organization for Livestock to improve the reality of its stations spread in all governorates, which will reflect positively on the increase in milk produced daily, the manufacture of most of it, and the introduction of competitive products in the local market.
The director of the foundation, Eng. Khaled Hilal, said in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the foundation has 11 farms, four of which are operational: Jub Ramleh, Fido, Ghouta, Homs, two out-of-service farms in Jurin and Tal Tamr, and three sites that we are working to introduce into service soon. Tartous Governorate, indicating that there are two cowsheds under study for rehabilitation, namely Al-Zorba station in Aleppo and Maqarat Daraa.
Hilal pointed out that the establishment includes two agricultural projects for the production of green fodder and grains, the first in the Al-Ghab area and affiliated to the Jub Ramla cowshed, and the second is the Katian project, which is affiliated to the Al-Zerba cowshed, and it is currently out of service, noting that there are two dairy and cheese manufacturing units in the two farms of Video and Jib Ramleh with a production capacity of 5 tons per day for each Including in addition to the presence of two feed manufacturing units with a production capacity of 80 tons per day in each unit.
He added: The number of the herd present in the operating slaughterhouses reached 2,036 heads until the end of last September, including 1,028 heads of cows, between milk and goats, while the daily production of the institution of milk reached 17 tons, with an implementation rate of 88% of the planned plan. Also, 8,949 tons of green fodder and 2,082 tons were produced. A variety of grains such as wheat, barley and oats.
As for the production process, Hilal explained that the dairy factories manufacture the daily production of milk into different products such as dairy, labneh, white cheese, mozzarella, kashkawan, mshallala and qreisha. Milk in the Jeb Ramla dairy factory, indicating that the products are marketed through direct sales centers in the factories and through the Syrian trade halls in the governorates of Hama and Lattakia and the institution's product sales hall in Baghdad Street in Damascus.
For his part, Tammam Diop, the Foundation’s Planning Director, indicated that the Foundation’s investment plan this year includes importing 600 carrier bags designated to operate the first station in the Mabaker Maskanah complex and to operate the Deir ez-Zor cowshed, in addition to a plan to rehabilitate the third station in the Mabaker Maskanah complex. Rehabilitation A high percentage of the work of the rehabilitation project of the Deir ez-Zor cow facility has been completed.
It is noteworthy that the revenues of the Al-Mabaker Corporation amounted to 4 billion and 431 million pounds resulting from the sale of its various products, and its profits amounted to about one billion and three million pounds until the end of the first half of this year.
