The Lebanese army announced that it seized various weapons and ammunition during a raid operation in the town of Benin in the Akkar district of northern Lebanon.
The army said in a statement via its Twitter account that its units carried out a raid on a residential complex in Benin, after the North Intelligence Branch monitored the presence of a number of gunmen who participated in the clashes that took place in Wadi Al-Jamous yesterday, indicating that a quantity of weapons and ammunition was confiscated and operations are still ongoing. The stinging continues.
Four people were killed and seven others were injured as a result of a shooting that occurred between members of two families in the town of Wadi al-Jamous.
