The American newspaper "New York Times" revealed that the business run by the family of former US President Donald Trump is facing charges and is subject to a criminal investigation.
In recent months, the Westchester County, New York, attorney's office has requested records from the Trump National Golf Club and Ossining Township, which is taxing property on the course, a sprawling private club that straddles a hill north of New York City and includes a 101-foot waterfall, according to private sources.
According to the sources, although it is not possible to determine the full scope of the investigation, it appears that attorney "Mimi I Roca" is focused in part on whether the Trump Corporation "Trump Organization" misled local officials about the value of the property in order to reduce taxes.
However, the Westchester investigation is ramping up law enforcement's scrutiny of Trump and his family's business, both of which have been the subject of a long-running criminal investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office that is examining a range of potential financial and tax irregularities.
Yesterday, Trump filed a lawsuit against the House committee investigating the events of the storming of the Capitol building on the sixth of last January.
