In a meeting between Bennett and the Indian Foreign Minister in his office, the latter, on behalf of Prime Minister Modi, invited Bennett for his first official visit to his country.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met today (Wednesday) with Indian Foreign Minister Dr. Subermaniyam Jaishanker in his office in Jerusalem. On behalf of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Foreign Minister invited Prime Minister For the first official visit to his country.

Prime Minister Bennett and Foreign Minister Jaishenkar discussed strengthening the strategic alliance between the two countries, expanding bilateral ties and deepening the warm friendship between Israel and India.

Bennett thanked Foreign Minister and Prime Minister Modi for their personal commitment to the partnership between Israel and India and said that "on behalf of the State of Israel, I want to tell you: We love India. We see India as a great friend and look forward to expanding our relationship in all areas."

Earlier today, President Yitzhak Herzog held a political working meeting with Jessenker.

At the beginning of their meeting, the President welcomed the strengthening of Israeli-Indian relations in a variety of areas and thanked the Indian Foreign Minister for his personal commitment, and for the commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his ministers to promote and strengthen ties with Israel.

Towards the thirtieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and India next year, the President emphasized his intention to personally assist in promoting and strengthening this important relationship.
