Queen Elizabeth II was forced to cancel a visit to Northern Ireland this Wednesday and Thursday.
Doctors advised her to rest for a few days, which she agreed to do "reluctantly", according to a statement from Buckingham Palace unveiled on Wednesday.
“Her Majesty remains in good spirits and is disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she was to participate in a series of engagements,” he said, adding that she was “looking forward to being able to s 'go there in the future'.

After having spent successive confinements at Windsor Castle near London and despite speculation about a withdrawal after the death in April of her husband Philip, Elizabeth II has recently participated in many public engagements.
