Munich

- A serious accident at work occurred on Tuesday afternoon on a construction site in Schleißheimer Strasse am Harthof: A 25-year-old worker suffered severe head injuries.

As the fire brigade reports, the 25-year-old was initially hit in the head by a swaying concrete pump.

As a result of the force, the man fell from a two-meter-high platform into a construction pit.

An emergency service was called immediately.

The BMW company fire brigade, together with the public rescue service, looked after the seriously injured man in the excavation pit.

Because the construction site is up to 30 meters deep, the height rescue group of the professional fire brigade was called in for support.

After the first aid, the injured person was transported out of the pit with a so-called grinding basket stretcher and with the help of a construction site crane.

The man was then transported to the shock room of a Munich clinic, accompanied by an emergency doctor.

The Munich police have started investigations to clarify the cause of the accident.
