Turkey relies on provocation in the conflict with Greece over sovereignty in the Aegean Sea: Two Turkish F-16 combat bombers flew over the Greek islands of Farmakonisi, Lipsi and Inousses.

Two of them - Inousses and Lipsi - are inhabited.

This was reported by the Greek state television, citing the Ministry of Defense in Athens.

It was said that there were interception maneuvers with Greek combat bombers.

Flying over the territory of a country is considered a serious violation of its sovereignty.

The EU has repeatedly condemned such actions by Turkey.

Talks between the two neighboring states - including those mediated by Berlin - have so far remained unsuccessful.

According to information from government circles, Athens wants to discuss the issue at the next EU summit.
