British scientists have warned that the new Delta mutant of the Corona virus may be more contagious than its predecessor.
The Financial Times quoted Jeffrey Barrett of the Wellcome Sanger Institute at the University of Cambridge and François Ballou, director of the University College London Institute of Genetics, as saying that it was related to the AY4.2 variant, which was recently identified by scientists who follow the genetic evolution of the delta mutant, which is spreading very quickly.
According to the experts, this variant is 10 to 15 percent more transmissible than the original delta mutant, which has already dominated corona cases around the world.
