A bomb from the Second World War has to be blown up in Bremen on Wednesday.
The 250-kilogram dud was found during exploratory work near the Neustadt freight station, the police said.
A defusing is not possible, so that the bomb had to be blown up after 1 p.m. by the demolition officer of the Bremen police.
Bremen - An area of 500 meters around the site will be completely evacuated.
The blockage also affects the rail traffic between Bremen and Oldenburg, the federal highway 75 to Oldenburg and the Autobahn 281. There should be no people on the streets within a radius of 500 to 1000 meters.
In buildings, they should stay in the rooms facing away from the blasting site and open the windows.
