The new "Natura 2000 signage concept" is intended to help make the pressure to go on excursions in the Miesbach district more environmentally friendly.
Wildbad Kreuth / District - The number of hikers who roam the nature in the Miesbach district is not exactly small.
So that the pressure of excursions remains as environmentally friendly as possible, the District Office and State Forests have developed a “Natura 2000 signage concept”.
The signage is intended to make visitors aware of the ecologically sensitive and high-quality area in which they are.
As reported by the District Office, the first ten signs have now been put up, one of them on Hofbauernweißach near Wildbad Kreuth.
More are to follow in the coming weeks.
The design should be entertaining and concise and sensitize hikers to the fauna and flora habitats in the Mangfall Mountains, which are worth protecting.
The signs are supplemented by pictograms that refer to the rules of conduct in the landscape protection areas.
Cooperation between Bavarian State Forests, Lower Nature Conservation Authority and area supervisors
The concept also provides for the boards to be changed according to the season and to offer information tailored to summer, winter and the bird breeding season.
The care is provided by the nature conservation rangers of the Miesbach district.
The project for the European Natura 2000 reserve "Mangfall Mountains" is being implemented in cooperation between the Bavarian State Forests / Schliersee Forestry Company, the Lower Nature Conservation Authority in Miesbach and the area manager Florian Bossert.
