The Germeringen fire brigade will again have a calendar for 2022.
Big difference to previous years: For the first time, the firefighters are posing in front of the cameras.

- For the third time, the Germering fire brigade will present itself with a calendar.
To put the twelve motifs for the year 2022 in the limelight, a special photo shoot took place.
But this time something was different: A good number of the currently 19 firefighters were there too.

Stefan Heyne, chairman of the fire brigade association and initiator, has to smile when he tells how it came about that women are now also shown in the calendar.
“Two years ago the women were still skeptical, last year they were jealous.
Now they are enthusiastic about it. "
Isabelle Diehl and Susi Mayrhofer can only confirm that.
“I've been with us for 24 years and it's the first time I've been working with something like this,” Mayrhofer explains.
So it didn't take long to ask her.
That was also the case with Diehl, who has been with the fire brigade for three years.
“There was a little bit of curiosity,” she says.
She has now also experienced that modeling is not that easy.
And that it takes really good preparation.
"I was told how to wash my hair in the morning."

One of the scenes has the motto "Singing in the Rain".
The firefighters don't have to dance through the picture like Gene Kelly did in the 1950s.
Nevertheless, a lot is demanded, because photographer Claudia Köppel, who is redesigning the photo shoot with her team, does not raise her thumb that quickly.
Sometimes the posing is “not swinging enough”, sometimes the water hose needs a different angle.
According to Christian Haugg, spokesman for the Germeringer fire brigade, the calendar should represent a little bit of everyday life in the fire brigade.
But artistic freedom is a must.
“It should also have a certain effect.” And so with the male models, hands are laid on the arms and shoulders for a further motif.
Or rather: oil is applied for the shine.
After all, they should operate the turntable ladder in the sweat of their brow, at least that's how it should look.

For Timo Amey - who has been with the Wehr since he was 14 - the job is "a lot of fun and a welcome change".
And if you find yourself in one of the photos, be proud to have been there.
Michael Riederer, in his seventh year with the fire brigade, finds it interesting how the motifs are created.
The creative head for the ideas is fire brigade chairman Heyne.
But the models could have contributed, adds Riederer.
In the end, everyone is satisfied with the work and excited to see how the calendar will be received.
In the previous year, the edition of 300 was quickly sold out.
The income from the 2022 calendar should go into the pot for the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Germering volunteer fire brigade, which will take place in 2023.
Pre-orders for the calendar, which costs 18 euros, are already possible on the fire brigade's homepage.
This is supported by the Cewe company when printing the work.
The calendar is expected to be available from the first week of November in the bookstore "Bookmarks" at Untere Bahnhofstrasse 50.
