 An explosion at a power station that supplies power to Afghanistan's capital caused blackouts in Kabul and some other provinces on Thursday, according to a statement from the Afghan power company Breshna.

Technicians are working on site to fix the problem.

The circumstances surrounding the explosion are still unclear.
