The Haifa District Attorney's Office filed an indictment in the city district court against Rafael Stevi, 45, a resident of Haifa, for indecent acts on a minor without consent, which were committed on six minors aged 16-8, on numerous occasions.
The indictment, filed by attorney Ilana Ficus-Roitblatt, states that the defendant is married and the father of children, who committed indecent acts last September on two minors under the age of 16, without their free consent, while in a synagogue compound.
In addition, in the years 2014 to 2017 on numerous occasions, in cases where two minors were aged 11-8 and two other minors were aged 16-13 and were hosted in the defendant's home - he used to perform indecent acts on them without their free consent.
According to the indictment, he touched their bodies above the clothes, and sometimes also under the clothes.
Towards one of the minors, the defendant even made threats that she would not tell her parents about his actions, and also told her that these were normal acts done to all the girls.
The prosecution added in the arrest request: "The evidence shows that there is a reasonable basis for fearing that the defendant's release will lead to evasion of judicial proceedings, since the defendant was arrested at Ben Gurion Airport on his way abroad."
