Schwabhausen - “Today I have the honor of paying tribute to an incredible trio,” said Mayor Wolfgang Hörl at the 2021 citizenship ceremony for the community of Schwabhausen in the theater in Arnbach.

It was a celebratory moment for the three new citizens' medal holders: Edeltraud Lachner, Hildegard Schuster and Heinrich Loderer.

For Hörl, the best thing that can happen to a community is when the citizens get involved and when you can work with committed people - “hand in hand”.

Often, however, their voluntary work remains hidden.

In a personal eulogy, he summarized the outstanding commitment of everyone.

Edeltraud Lachner

TSV Arnbach can no longer be imagined without it, has held responsible positions within the club for many years and has now been chairman of the club for 15 years.

In addition to her sporting activities, she played a leading role in the creation of the Arnbach Chronicle and was also highly committed to local politics: she was a member of the local council for 20 years and she was second mayor for 14 years.

She was involved in many projects and campaigns, always had everyone's well-being in mind and represented the community in the Dachau Agil regional development association.

She left her mark everywhere, took part in steering committees, and even today many things are closely linked to her name, such as the “Networked Youth Places” projects, the “History Workshop” and the senior citizen work project.

For Hörl she is “a doer” and she deserves the greatest respect for her great commitment.

Hildegard Schuster

I also did an excellent job in Schwabhausen.

She was a member of the local council for 24 years and has "decisively shaped the face of the community".

With her determination and her irrepressible will, she has set a lot in motion.

Hörl reminded her that the wellbeing of families, children and senior citizens was particularly important to her and that she was active in numerous honorary positions.

She is still a member of a wide variety of associations and her name and commitment are firmly linked to the Christmas market and the citizens' festival.

Here, with her passion, she has created something that is not only a "fixed point in the calendar" for the citizens of Schwabhausen, but is also highly valued across the municipalities in the district.

They bring people together with their organizational talent and with the statement: "We are glad that we have you", Hörl thanked Hildegard Schuster for her versatile commitment to the good of the community.

Heinrich Loderer

"It is impossible to present all of his numerous and long-standing honorary positions," said Hörl in his laudation for Heinrich Loderer. There are just too many. It is also noticeable that Loderer was often present when clubs were founded, such as the Schwabhausen brass band or various departments of the TSV, and that he was one of the initiators of mother-child gymnastics. He was involved in the construction of the tennis facility, the hut construction of the stick shooters and is still involved in the construction of the Schwabhausen Christmas market. He worked on the “History Workshop” project, organized the exhibition with Ernst Spiegel in the town hall and contributed to the book “The 50s in the Dachau District - Economic Miracle and Displacement”.

Many know Heinrich Loderer as the long-time chairman of the CSU parliamentary group, as a council member and chairman of various committees.

He was thanked that evening for all of his numerous honorary positions.

As recognition and confirmation of their outstanding voluntary work and the associated appreciation, Hörl presented the three winners with the citizen's medal, a certificate and flowers on behalf of the entire community.

From now on, their names are also engraved on the plaque for the citizens' medal bearers in the Schwabhausen town hall.

Following the official part, the present President of the District Assembly and Schwabhausen honorary citizen Josef Mederer, the local councils and many current citizens' medal holders were able to congratulate the three.

The festive event was musically accompanied by the band "funtasia", who created the atmosphere with their jazz interludes.
