Weil - Just a short excursion to freedom: On Wednesday morning last week, a 53-year-old man from the Landsberg area was driving his car on the St2052 from Weil towards Pestenacker, says Landsberg police superintendent Julia Siebert.
Two ponies crossed the roadway at the level of a courtyard.
The 53-year-old was unable to brake in time and caught one of the two animals.
This died due to the collision.
The two ponies had come from the adjacent yard and broke out of their stables.
The 53-year-old was not injured, there was property damage of around 5,000 euros.
