The boy's parents and the 33-year-old driver are looked after by a crisis intervention team.
In addition to the police and emergency doctor, the Oberndorf volunteer fire brigade and an ambulance were also on duty.
The village street in Oberndorf was closed for around four hours at the scene of the accident.
