Customs officers confiscated dozens of kilos of pyrotechnics at the Polish border.
At a traffic control in Altglietzen (Märkisch-Oderland district), the officials found a 50 kilogram box with fireworks batteries in the trunk of a car, as customs announced on Thursday.
Ten more batteries and eleven fireworks were discovered in the back seats.
Altglietzen - For a large part of the firecrackers, the driver should have had an explosives certificate.
Many other fireworks were reportedly incorrectly labeled.
After the find on Monday, the officials initiated criminal tax proceedings against the driver and confiscated the firecrackers.
