During a major inspection in the border region with Poland, three drivers with stolen cars broke police barriers.
As a police spokeswoman said on Thursday in Neubrandenburg, two cars were later found near Grimme and Blankensee (Vorpommern-Greifswald).
The cars were stolen in Hamburg.
The drivers fled on foot.

Nobody got hurt.
"Such breakthroughs also show us how important and correct our regular joint controls at the border are," said Nils Hoffmann-Ritterbusch, Police President of the Neubrandenburg Presidium.
Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is particularly affected by cross-border crime because of its location as a transit country to Eastern Europe.
Above all, car and truck theft as well as property crimes such as break-ins and theft of tools and pesticides are focal points.

As the police announced, a driver reported a parade on Saturday afternoon.
