(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 21 - Italians really like the "City of 15 minutes" on foot, with proximity services, and even like the policies of almost total limitation of the circulation of cars and motorcycles with combustion engines in the centers. This is what emerges from the first survey from the resumption of activity - after the lockdowns caused by the pandemic - promoted by Legambiente with Ipsos, on a national scale and with a focus on Milan, Turin, Naples and Rome. Italians have a great attraction towards this project but they think it is unrealistic. Therefore, explained the president of Legambiente Stefano Ciafani, national financing is needed and the municipalities must guarantee citizens to be able to do everything in 15 minutes on foot. It is a challenge for newly elected unions in big cities, because this project was especially popular in metropolitan areas. (HANDLE).
