Roast pork, dumplings and Auszogne - delicacies that practically everyone in Munich has already eaten.

But Kachapuri, Fattoush and Ayam Percik?

These exotic specialties are also available in our city.

You can easily get to know them: Thanks to the new book “Culinary World Tour through Munich.” The idea for the book came up with Germanist Laura Werther (30).

With her friend Annika Mittelmeier (30), an illustrator, the Munich resident regularly took food home from restaurants during the lockdown.

“We noticed what different specialties there are in our city.

Sometimes we could be in three countries in one week! ”Overall, the two of them now present restaurants, cafés and snack bars from 22 countries - lovingly and colorfully illustrated - and provide information on the respective piece of earth and exotic recipes to cook at home.

The whole thing was photographed by Sabrina Fiorin.

We would like to briefly introduce you to six restaurants here.

Come with us on a very special taste journey!
