The police investigators received the decisive tip from a whistleblower who recognized the trekking bike and was able to name the hitherto unknown person.
The police continue to assume that there has been an accident.
The 65-year-old was found lifeless on Gratian-Grimm-Strasse in the Rodgau district of Jügesheim.

Passers-by found a lifeless man on Thursday (October 14, 2021) in Gratian-Grimm-Strasse in the Rodgau district of Jügesheim.
This was announced by the police in Offenbach.
The man was found on the side of the road.
Alarmed emergency services brought the stranger with an ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Apparently he had sustained a head injury.
However, the man died in the hospital.
