In the last meeting, the municipal council decided by a narrow majority in favor of the “Makarska grill” as the location.

- The property on which the “Makarska grill” stands today could be the new home of the Feldafing fire brigade in a few years. The local council has decided on the location on Possenhofener Strasse as the new headquarters of the fire brigade - if everything goes well, the urgently needed fire station will be built there in the near future. The remaining options are therefore out of the running.
“I want a decision today,” said Feldafing's Mayor Bernhard Sontheim at the beginning of the meeting. “We have to act now so that we can get to a new fire station as quickly as possible.” Commander Dirk Schiecke and his comrades have been waiting for the new house for more than ten years. Schiecke spoke plainly: “The Lipp-Wiese is my clear favorite. If the construction does not work there, the 'Makarska grill' is the best alternative. ”Mayor Bernhard Sontheim also sees it this way. "I would prefer the Lipp-Wiese," he said. “But I know that I don't meet with much approval.” Due to its location on the edge of a residential area in the west and some nature conservation aspects, the Lipp-Wiese is not an ideal location for most of the municipal council.
The meadow south of the sports field, which was only considered in July, is also ruled out.
In addition to the poor accessibility for the emergency services, the subject of the landscape protection area in which the property is located is also problematic.
"There is always a risk as to whether a removal is possible," said Sontheim, who presented the site analysis to the local council.
Likewise, the former clinic, the current fire station and the area opposite the train station are no longer up for discussion as a location for the new fire station - so only the "Makarska grill" remains as the new fire station.

“We have to bite into some bullet. The 'Makarska grill' is probably the less acidic apple, ”said Sontheim and - after the Lipp meadow was no longer up for discussion - in favor of the area on Possenhofener Strasse. "From the current point of view, it is the only sensible location," said Roger Himmelstoss (CSU). Imke Schmid (district spokeswoman Garatshausen) was also enthusiastic: "It would be great to have the fire brigade right in the heart of Feldafing." . "It could be set up in the Remise of the Kaiserin Elisabeth Golf Hotel."
Sontheim assured that the tenant of the restaurant had already been informed of the plans in the spring and that the three apartments in the building had also been as good as unlet.
However, the mayor was not able to fully convince all of the local councils.
“The 'Makarska Grill' is a local institution,” said Peter Fischhaber (SPD).
“Children's birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated there.” The traffic situation also needs to be improved.
There was agreement among the council members above all in terms of housing for emergency services, because affordable housing is difficult to find in the community.
“Apartments could be built on the first and second floors,” said Sontheim.
"Nothing has been planned and checked yet."
The mayor assumes that - if everything goes according to plan - the demolition of the "Makarska grill" can begin at the end of 2022.
