Forced labor at the Rammelsberg ore mine during the Nazi era is to be researched with a new project.
The two-year scientific project will be presented in more detail today in Goslar.
The Lower Saxony State Office for Monument Preservation (NLD) with its mining archeology department and the Rammelsberg World Heritage Site are involved in the research.
Goslar - The project is funded by the Friede Springer Foundation.
Under the title “Rooms of Oppression.
New historical and archaeological research on the forced laborers at the Rammelsberg ore mine in the Harz Mountains, ”said the scientists who started their work at the beginning of October.
