District - The infection process in the Miesbach district has increased massively.

222 infected people were added from Tuesday to Thursday.

This is most noticeable in schools.

Across all types of schools, ten classes are currently completely in quarantine.

So far, only direct contact persons of infected children and adolescents have been put in quarantine, but as soon as two positive cases are found in a class, everyone has to stay at home for at least five days.

The ten quarantine classes go back to 23 infections.

Another 32 children and young people are positive, but the only ones in their classes.

As the district office says, the schools around the Tegernsee are comparatively badly affected.

"This confirms the supra-regional trend, according to which metropolitan areas tend to be more affected." After all, only one group is currently in quarantine at daycare centers.

The health department does not assume that the schools themselves are sources of infection.

The transmission of the corona virus would mainly take place in the private sector, it is said.

222 new infections in three days - fifth highest incidence in Germany

On Wednesday and Thursday, the 7-day incidence in the district jumped by around 40 each to new record levels. Yesterday it was 323 (Monday still 215), which means the fifth most affected district in Germany. Compared to last year, however, the incidence as a value has lost its horror. Sure, more infections also mean more illnesses and a higher hospitalization rate, according to the district office. And the more people are infected, the more difficult it is to trace the large number of contacts. However, since the infection process mainly takes place in the younger parts of the population and these generally show less severe courses, the incidence does not affect the hospitals with full force. The fact that a large part of the population is now vaccinated has the same effect. The relevant hospital traffic light, which does not apply to the region but to the whole of Bavaria, is still on green. "So the incidence is not a cause for panic, but it should make you think about how you want to protect yourself," says District Office spokeswoman Sophie Stadler.

Almost everything is allowed again: Encounters cause the number of cases to skyrocket

The health department assumes that the reason for the high numbers is that almost everything is now allowed again, that people meet again much more than in the past year and a half.

In addition, life is shifting more and more indoors, where the virus is transmitted more easily than outdoors.

According to the District Office, there is still no institution such as a home or any other body such as a company that would be responsible for the high incidence with an accumulation of cases.

“The virus is just widespread.

Infection can affect anyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated, young and old. "

Tracking is hardly possible anymore - infected people should inform contact persons themselves

Because contact tracking for the health department is now hardly possible - and certainly not in a timely manner - infected people should inform any contact persons themselves.

They should then do rapid tests on five consecutive days, minimize contacts and, in the event of a positive result, organize a PCR test.

Anyone who is undoubtedly the contact person of an infected person, such as household members, has to be in quarantine and can only test himself free after five (quick test: seven) days.
