Damascus-SANA
She chose the path of authentic rap and studied at the ancient art school, to present the artist Hadeel Tarabay through special songs that reflected this trend with her belief in the role of music in the advancement of society.
In an interview with SANA, Tarabay explains that her preference for tarab art, which belongs to authenticity, is a result of her conviction that this school expresses our identity and heritage. As for the introduction of new methods under the title of modernity, it leads to “distortion of our song.”
Regarding her view of lyrical folk art, Tarabay indicated that this style has its fans, but it is necessary that it rise to a real artistic level and relies on meaningful words and a well-thought-out melody.
Tarabay seeks, through her own songs, to express human situations, such as her song to the mother, which is one of the words of the artist Ezz El-Din El-Amir and his melody recorded last year, where it met with success that made it stick to this lyrical line because it is part of our affiliation.
Tarabay drew attention to her participation in many concerts in many cultural centers with artists such as Suleiman Harfouche and Issa Al-Najjar, where she sang a variety of songs, both authentic and popular, because of her belief in the necessity of the artist's presence with the audience on an ongoing basis, especially in activities of an authentic nature.
Tarab gives the Aleppo Tarab priority over other types of singing, because it is authentic and penetrates the depths and the soul, as it was presented by great singers such as Sabah Fakhri Shadi Jamil and Omar Sarmini.
And about her newness, Tarabay is currently preparing a new emotional song from the words of the poet Saleh Al-Halabi and composed by the artist Izz Al-Din Al-Amir, and it embodies emotional states committed to honesty and tenderness.
