The thinly staffed Herrsching Seniors' Advisory Board is urgently looking for staff - so that it can continue to campaign for a better quality of stay in the village.

Most recently, 30 senior citizens came together to collect ideas.

Herrsching - Every third Herrschinger is 60 years or older. A total of around 3,600 seniors live in the largest town on Lake Ammersee. However, there are currently only four on the Seniors' Advisory Board. But there could be nine, especially when there is a lack of committed men, reports Burkhard Siewert, deputy chairman, at the request of Starnberger Merkurs. Anyone from Herrschinger aged 60 or over can apply for a mandate on the Seniors' Advisory Council until the end of October. The application form is available in the town hall. You can also request it by e-mail to j.schmidbauer@herrsching.de.

These days around 30 senior citizens came together in the Protestant community center.

The senior advisory board had invited to an exchange about Herrsching's future.

In addition to formulating visions, it was also about "re-establishing contacts after the long Corona break," reports advisory board chairwoman Mia Schmidt.H

Herrschinger townscape: Lively discussion and many wishes

According to her, things were lively. Inspired by the music of two senior citizens from Planegg and the introduction by Schmidt and her adviser colleague Magdi Schadt, all of them dealt intensively with their visions for Herrsching. Everyone could write down their wishes on cards and with gold pens. In the end, all cards were collected. A recurring topic was the traffic situation: The present concept must finally be implemented, and quality of stay and living should not be neglected, says Siewert. A real community center and sensible use of the station building were also desired. South of the S-Bahn station, at Kienbach, the seniors could imagine a café. The subject of accessibility was also discussed, with Siewert emphasizing:“This is already included in the municipality's traffic concept. It just has to finally be implemented. "

The results of the collection of ideas should be viewed and listed in the next few days and then serve as a working basis for the new senior citizens' advisory board.

“This is not a job, it is a joyful office,” Siewert promises to those who are considering an application.

You can stop at any time and contribute as much as you want.

“We deliberately keep the hurdles low.” Gma
